Frequently asked questions
What does a vibration plate like Power Plate do?
A Power Plate is a whole body vibration platform. You stand, sit or hold simple positions while the plate delivers quick, gentle vibrations that engage your muscles. Many guests say it leaves them feeling energized, loose and more awake. Some studies suggest possible benefits for balance and muscle activation, though research is mixed. It is designed to complement, not replace, regular exercise. Watch our Power Plate Therapy Explained video on this page for a demonstration.
How long should you stand on a vibration plate?
Power Plate is one of our shorter Refresh services, so sessions are quick and easy to fit into your day. Your provider will guide you through positions and timing based on your comfort level, especially on your first visit. Start gently and listen to your body; more time isn't necessarily better. Ask about pairing it with far infrared sauna or contrast therapy for a full recovery routine.
How often should you use a Power Plate?
Many guests enjoy a few sessions a week as part of a recovery routine, while others use it occasionally as a pick-me-up. Your ideal frequency depends on your goals, fitness and how your body responds. If you'd like to come often, the Unlimited Contrast & Recovery Membership ($99.95/month) includes Power Plate, VibraSonic, sauna, cold plunge and vitamin D tanning. See details on our memberships page.
Is a vibration plate good for lymphatic support?
Vibration platforms are often described as supporting circulation and lymph flow through gentle muscle activation, and many guests say they feel less sluggish afterward. Research is still developing, so we keep expectations modest. If lymphatic support is a priority for you, you may also enjoy Endermologie, a mechanical lymphatic massage. Our team can help you decide which option fits your wellness goals.
Who should not use a vibration plate?
Please check with your physician before using a vibration plate if you are pregnant, have had recent surgery, have joint replacements or other implants, a pacemaker, a history of blood clots (DVT), epilepsy, retinal or eye issues, recent fractures or serious heart conditions. The same caution applies to VibraSonic. Always check with your physician to see if a service is right for you, and let our staff know about any health changes.
What should I wear on a Power Plate?
Wear comfortable clothes you can move in, such as leggings or athletic shorts and a breathable top. Our team will let you know about footwear when you arrive. Bring water, and tie back long hair. If you're coming straight from work in the St. Paul area, a quick change of clothes is all you need. Plan a few minutes for check-in at our Little Canada center.
What is VibraSonic therapy?
VibraSonic is another vibration-based Refresh service at our center, and many guests enjoy it as a relaxing complement to Power Plate. The easiest way to understand it is to see it: our short video What Is Vibrasonic Therapy? on our YouTube channel walks through a session. VibraSonic is included in the Unlimited Contrast & Recovery Membership and is one of the options in our $100 Sample Therapy Package.
What is AVACEN and what does a session feel like?
AVACEN is a hand-based device: you rest your hand in it during a calm, seated session, and many guests describe a pleasant, warming sensation. It's a shorter Refresh service and a popular add-on to a Power Plate or sauna visit. As with any service, check with your physician first if you have health concerns. AVACEN is one of the six choices in our $100 Sample Therapy Package on our daily deals page.
How much does Power Plate cost near St. Paul?
Try it with our $100 Sample Therapy Package: choose any 4 of Power Plate, VibraSonic, AVACEN, Lipo Laser, Red Light Therapy and Infrared Sauna. For regular use, the Unlimited Contrast & Recovery Membership is $99.95 per month. For single-session pricing, see current pricing on our booking page.
